Challenge:

Insight Technology Search was approached by the European leader in payment services to act as a retained search partner to find a new Group Chief Security Officer.

The Group Chief Security Officer would sit within the Paris headquarters and take control of the company’s overall cyber security strategy and defence plan.

A recent retirement, a lack of seniority within the security team and the ever-increasing threat of cyber security breaches, meant it was critical that this person be found quickly and made an impact from day one.

 

Solution:

During this search, Insight Technology Search worked closely with the Head of Risk Management to get an in depth understanding of what kind of candidate would excel in this role. With this information, our specialist consultants conducted a country specific and global search using a range of channels to uncover the strongest Security talent globally.

Several candidates were interviewed (twice by us) and deemed a suitable fit, interviews were scheduled with the Head of Risk Management and other senior to C-suite individuals. Throughout the course of hiring, our consultants kept in regular contact, ensuring open communication and alignment.

 

Outcome:

A fast paced yet highly efficient search meant that our client was able to hire within their desired time frame. Having the choice of 5 highly-skilled security executives shortlisted by Insight, our client made the decision to move forward with a CISO from one of the largest insurance companies in France.
